OPAL CARD FOR SENIORS AND PENSIONERS

An Opal Card for Seniors / Pensioners is here!

 

­Benefits include:

  • Eligible customers pay no more than $2.50 per day  
  • ­Free travel after eight paid and completed journeys in a week
  • ­Customers can top up with as little as $2.50 at a retailer and $10 up via opal.com.au or 13 67 25 (13 OPAL).
  • ­Protected balance for registered cards.
  • ­Staff can direct customer questions to opal.com.au or 13 67 25 (13 OPAL).

 

Ordering a Card is Easy

Eligible customers can order it by going online at opal.com.au or by calling 13 67 25 (13 OPAL).  The card is not available at retailers.

 

Customers Can Still Use the Pensioner Excursion Ticket (PET)

Customers can choose to use an Opal card or keep buying Pensioner Excursion Tickets (PET).

 

Other Opal Cards

­The Adult and Child / Youth Opal cards are already available and other concession Opal cards will be coming soon.

 

Safety Message

When travelling by bus, for your safety, youshould not stand up to tap off until the bus has come to a complete stop.

 

Where Else Can Customers Use Opal?

  • ­All Sydney Ferries, Sydney Trains and NSW TrainLink intercity services
  • ­All privately operated bus services in Sydney, the Blue Mountains, Central Coast, Hunter, and Illawarra (from 3 November) regions
  • ­State Transit buses from Waverley, Randwick, Port Botany, Brookvale, Mona Vale, North Sydney, Burwood, Kingsgrove, Leichhardt and Tempe depots.
  • ­Light Rail is currently planned to go live in early 2015.
