Back to School Information

Start the school year on the right foot, with this handy checklist!

1) Have you applied for/updated your child's School Opal Card?

Ensure you are ready to travel from Term 1, by applying for your School Opal Card online today. You can do this before school resumes.

If you already have a School Opal Card but have moved since you applied, then you need to update your details online to ensure you are travelling with a valid card. You don't need to apply for a new card. You can continue to use your existing School Opal Card from Term 1.

If you are not eligible for a School Opal Card, but still want to travel by public transport, then you will need to carry a Child Opal Card with adequate funds on it. You can board any of our school services with a valid Child Opal Card.

2) Have you read the latest advice for school travel from Transport for NSW?

We have issued our own COVID-19 response regarding student travel. You can read it here.

With the ever-changing COVID environment, we also encourage you to stay up to date with Transport for NSW's advice for students here.

3) Have you checked your school's bus timetable?

All of our current school bus timetables, known as 'School Advice Sheets' are available on our website. When updates are made, we inform the school and update them online. If you have any questions about your school services, please feel free to contact us. You can view them here.

4) Have you read the Code of Conduct?

We follow Transport for NSW's Code of Conduct for student travel on public transport. We encourage parents and students to familiarise themselves with the conditions of travel.

This includes tapping on and off every journey to help ensure each student is counted and to help plan our services. You can view the Code of Conduct here.

Have your Opal card ready before you board and TAP ON every time you ride.

Tapping on and off with your Opal is important. Every time you don't TAP ON or OFF with your Opal card, we don't know that you were on board.

This means that Transport for NSW may thnk that your bus is not needed and dedice to reduce or cancel services in the future.

Help us to secure your school bus by remembering to TAP ON and OFF every time you ride.
